"Curiosity and Creativity" Assembly

Today, Fox Hill 4th grade students participated in a school-wide assembly focusing on students' curiosity and creativity. Each 4th grader wrote and shared an "I wonder" statement in a video presentation aired at the assembly. I am convinced more than ever that we have some "very deep thinkers" in grade 4. This video is a testament to that. The video presentation was introduced at the assembly by three 4th graders, including Room 20's own Rumaysa F.

Enjoy, as we present Fox Hill’s “4th Grade Wonders!”

UPDATE: New Classmates in Room 20

In science this year, we have studied animal and plant structures. As part of that unit, we learned the life cycle of chicks through Burlington's "Chick Hatching Program." Well, I am pleased to announce that just yesterday, we welcomed new members to Room 20 ~ 4 chicks (3 girls and 1 boy)! They will be with us for just a few days before relocating to the Burlington Science Center. Room 20 students are responsible for taking care of Isabella, Boo, and Lulu, (our girls) and Brightbill (our lone boy) by cleaning out their home (Brooder Box) and making sure they have enough food and water.

The kids love their new classmates and are showing great responsibility in caring for them.

UPDATE: One of our chicks, Isabella, has an issue with one of her legs, so we relocated her to the Science Center so that she can be in a more comfortable environment. We miss her, but are happy she is being cared for by Ms. Pavlicek and the other Science Center teachers.
