Fox Hill "Fine Arts Evening"

Attention Parents, Grandparents, Aunts & Uncles!

Fox Hill 4th & 5th graders are proud to announce this spring's concert and art show. It will be held on Wednesday, May 31st, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., at Fox Hill!

I've had an opportunity to listen in during some concert rehearsals. Trust me, you won't want to miss this performance! I've also been admiring students' art gracing the walls (and ceilings!) throughout Fox Hill. We have some wonderfully talented artists!

So, I hope to see you all at the Fine Arts evening on May 31st!

Today's Kindness Assembly

Thanks to Fox Hill's PTO, today we held a school-wide assembly to promote kindness among students. The PTO arranged to invite co-founders, Lauren Paul and Molly Thompson, of Kind Campaign, "a nonprofit organization that brings awareness and healing to the negative and lasting effects of girl-against-girl bullying through their global movement..." to Fox Hill School. While the Kind Campaign was founded to address girl-against-girl bullying, its message and movement clearly pertain to all students. For more information on Kind Campaign, please click here. Some photos from today's assembly are shown below. Students were so mesmerized during Lauren's and Molly's personal stories that "you could have heard a pin drop" in the cafeteria during the assembly.

Today's Field Trip to Land's Sake

As part of our "Plant & Animal Structures and Function" science unit, today, Fox Hill 4th graders went on a field trip to Land's Sake, in Weston. Land's Sake is a not-for-profit organization "supporting environmental education programs, food donation programs, and land management." Our 4th grade scientists searched for, identified, and discussed flower pollinators; dissected flowers; and picked and tasted fresh herbs growing on the Land's Sake farm. Moments from today's exciting field trip follow. Enjoy!
