Dear Parents,
Let me begin by saying how excited I am to be your child’s fourth grade teacher this coming year! I enthusiastically welcome this opportunity and look forward to a very meaningful and successful year with your children. Having been at Fox Hill since the 2010-2011 school year, I have served in multiple roles: Grade 4 classroom teacher, permanent substitute teacher, Response to Intervention (RtI) tutor, and after school math teacher. These positions have afforded me the opportunity to learn the Common Core curriculum, while working with students in full-class settings, small groups, and one-on-one.

My educational philosophy is to create a community of learners by molding, shaping, and teaching students academically, socially, and emotionally. I do so by working tirelessly with all students in order for them to be successful in every aspect of their development. However, I can’t do this alone. An integral component of a child’s success is parental involvement. I trust I can count on you to be heavily involved in your child’s academic, social, and emotional growth this coming year.
I would like to schedule one-on-one meetings with each child’s parents / guardians some time during the first week of school. I will follow-up with you once school starts to schedule a 15 minute meeting with you. I encourage you to visit my blog at mrdaley.blogspot.com during the school year for pertinent information for both you and your child. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have now or during the school year. My email address is ddaley@bpsk12.org and my telephone number in Room 9 is 781.238.5662.
I am very excited about this upcoming year and hope you are, too. I look forward to meeting with you in September and seeing your child on September 4!
Sincerely,
David M. Daley
