Dear Kids, Parents, and Grandparents,

As we begin a well-deserved mid-winter vacation, I wish each of you a very happy, healthy, and peaceful holiday season.

Thank you, kids, for your dedication to learning; for your commitment to being respectful, responsible, safe, & kind; and for your constant ability to make me smile. I look forward to continuing our growth as individuals and as a Room 9 community in 2019.

This Year's Winter Concert

Yesterday morning, Grade 4 and 5 Fox Hill students performed their 2018 Winter Concert for all Grades K through 3 Fox Hill students. The performance included 3 individual segments: the Fox Hill Strings Orchestra (under the direction of Mr. Samulak); the Fox Hill Band (under the direction of Mr. Napierkowski); and the Fox Hill Chorus (under the direction of Mrs. Medico and Ms. Harrigan). The winter concert, Celebration of Peace, was a smashing success! The kids gave it their all and left the stage with a well-deserved sense of accomplishment. Congratulations to all performers! Enjoy some of the performance below. (P.S. To this critic, today's performance for parents & grandparents was even better!)

Reminder: Winter Concert Dress and Instruments

Hi families,

The 4th and 5th grade Winter Concerts are on:

• Monday, December 17 (for Fox Hill students in grades K to 3) and
• Tuesday, December 18 at 8:30 a.m. (for families).

4th and 5th grade students should come to school dressed in their black pants and white shirts both days. (On Friday, I told the kids they could bring a change of clothes to put on after each performance.)

Please help students in band and orchestra remember to bring their instruments to school both days.

Winter Concert Dates & Times

Hello families,

If today's first full stage rehearsal is any indication, this year's winter concert looks to be a winner. Fox Hill 4th & 5th graders have been working extremely hard in chorus, band, and strings for the upcoming concert.

The final dress rehearsal and student concert will be held on Monday, December 17.

The concert for parents & guardians will be held on Tuesday, December 18 at 8:30 a.m.

Holiday Shoppe Hosted by the Fox Hill PTO

Hi families,

Monday, December 10, is an opportunity for Room 9 students to visit the "Fox Hill Pop Up Holiday Shoppe!" Kids will be able to purchase holiday gifts from $1 to $10 for family members and friends for the upcoming holiday season.

If you would like your child to participate, please send in money with her/him on Monday.
